Our Story

Hello friends! I am the maker behind Birchwood Lane Co.! My name is Ashley, and I am so excited you’re here!

I have always been a creator at heart. Matter of fact, I am a wedding photographer over at Ashley Dahl Photography. I love creating photographs for my couples to help tell the legacy of their love story. However, in spring of 2020, I felt I was yearning for something more to exercise my creative heart.

Candles have been my jam for as long as I can remember. Anytime there was a candle sale at my favorite stores, I was there. I also love gifting candles! When I gift my photography clients, candles were always something I wanted to include. Then it hit me - why not make my own candles?

Then one thing led to another. I caught myself loving to learn about the candle making process. As soon as I discovered how some chemicals in candles aren’t the best for you, I told myself I will never buy a store bought candle again.

That’s why Birchwood Lane Co. only uses phthalate free fragrance oils and a luxurious wax blend made of natural soy and coconut that is gluten free, toxin free, paraben free, phthalate free and comes from renewable sources. I want to feel good about what I burn in my home and I want you to, too.

We have been making an effort to provide the very best not only when it comes to the products we sell, but also the way those products are packaged up and sent to you for you to enjoy. From our re-usable wax melt tubes to our compostable mailer bags, we are making an effort to keep this beautiful earth we live on, well, beautiful.
